There is a woman that I know. A woman who quickly became a friend. A friend whom I now consider family. This friend of mine is so many spectacular things and so many wonderful things to me. We share similar interests, viewpoints, and sense of humor (even if mine may be a tad more brash). One, of many things that we have bonded over is our love of photography.
This friend of mine's name is Catherine Aldrich and she is a phenomenal photographer. She has been hiding in a darkroom since college and years ago moved over to a Nikon DSLR; she now is starting up a photography business in the MD/VA area. Catherine inspires me daily and pushes me to do more, get better, develop the craft, & enjoy the moments in between.
Recently, she came up with the idea of a photography share for our blogs. (Read: 'not competition'. She would win. Every time. Seriously. I know my place.) This is a way to nudge each other to keep pressing the shutter button, to create, and share something that we are proud of. We put our heads together and decided upon a monthly submission called 12.12.12.
12 photographs, posted on the 12th, for each of the 12 months of the year.
You will be able to follow my monthly 12.12.12 submissions at the link above. I will provide a link to Catherine's submission as well. Her gorgeous captures for this month can be found here.
The rules of 12.12.12. are as follows:
- There are no rules
